Liner notes:

Ferrante of the internationally famous piano-duo of Ferrante and Teicher is playing both pianos on this recording. In essence, he is F&F or, more explicitly, he is now Ferrante and His Twin Pianos. In addition to the two pianos, he has incorporated the use of modern electronic keyboards, permitting him to reproduce sounds of symphonic proportions and create some new tantalizingly spooky effects befitting the Phantom.

For his initial recording as F&F, he has chosen the score to the smash Broadway show, The Phantom Of The Opera. In keeping with the mood, he has also included beautiful themes from the operas Carmen, Madame Butterly, Aida, The Barber of Seville and Puccini's "Beloved Daddy." (Aria from Gianna Schicchi).

Ferrante's challenging arrangements showcase his dazzling technique. The lightning speed of double thirds... the interplay of keyboards from left to right.. the sparkling arpeggios... the cascading chromatic scales... the distrinctive harmonic progressions as well as the lush backgrounds of orchestral quality required 82 hours of studio time to record and edit.

How did Ferrante do it? Only the Phantom knows!
